由来
  • 新加坡博彩公司（Singapore Pools）每周都会有三次的万字票博彩游戏，许多 “字迷”（沉迷于万字票的人士）对能中奖的四个号码特别感兴趣。
  • “字迷” 普遍通过求神拜佛、舞狮表演（一般舞狮会用橘子或柑的瓣排出数字），以及梦境等方式获取下注号码的灵感。
  • 近几年，新加坡的一些庙宇也出现了名为 “大伯公施财” 或 “财神爷施财” 的真字贩卖机，让 “字迷” 多了一种祈求真字的方式。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Singapore Pools holds a 4D lottery three times a week. Many “lottery fanatics” (compulsive 4D players) are very keen in any four-digit number that may win a prize.
  • “Lottery fanatics” usually get numbers to bet on by praying to deities, through lion dance performances (where a number is usually formed with sections of oranges or tangerines by the lion dance performers) or in dreams.
  • In recent years, lucky number vending machines called “大伯公施财” (Tua Pek Kong Money Giveaway) or “财神爷施财” (God of Fortune Money Giveaway) have appeared in some temples in Singapore, providing the “lottery fanatics” with an additional way to pray for lucky numbers.

SAMPLE SENTENCE
