  • 1941年，新加坡第一家考车中心（Driving Test Centre）设于28 麦士威路（Maxwell Road），提供人们考取驾照的驾驶考试。
  • 1969年，女皇镇考车中心（Queenstown Driving Test Centre）成为第二家让国人考取驾照的中心。
  • 为了确保学车人士能更安全和更有系统地接受培训，本地于1985年分别在新加坡安全驾驶中心（Singapore Safety Driving Centre, SSDC）和甘榜乌美驾驶考试中心（Kampong Ubi Test Centre, KUTC）建设了驾驶培训道（Driving Circuit）。
  • 目前本地有三家驾驶中心，分别是1983年设立的新加坡安全驾驶中心，该中心于1985年4月与9月分别推出了为摩托车骑士和学车人士的驾驶培训课程；于1990年设立的武吉巴督驾驶中心（Bukit Batok Driving Centre）和1996年设立的康福德高驾驶中心（ComfortDelgro Driving Centre）。
ETYMOLOGY
  • In 1941, Singapore’s first Driving Test Centre was established at 28 Maxwell Road, providing driving tests for people to obtain their driving licenses.
  • In 1969, the Queenstown Driving Test Centre became the second centre for Singaporeans to obtain their driving licenses.
  • To ensure that learner drivers receive training that is safer and more systematic, Driving Circuits were built at the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) and the Kampong Ubi Test Centre (KUTC) in 1985.
  • Currently, there are three driving centres in Singapore, namely the SSDC established in 1983, which rolled out training courses for motorcyclists and drivers in April and September 1985 respectively; the Bukit Batok Driving Centre established in 1990, and the ComfortDelgro Driving Centre established in 1996.
