槟榔路（Penang Road）一带的俗称。

由来
  • 源自福建话或潮州话 ong keh sua au 的意译。
  • 皇家山历史悠久，现代考古学家在当地发现源自于 14 世纪的金饰、建筑与中国瓷器。由于新加坡是中世纪海上丝绸之路的贸易中转站，考古学家也在皇家山寻获大量的元代陶瓷文物。
  • 由于槟榔路是位于皇家山脚后方的主要道路，因此被俗称为 “皇家山后”。
  • 槟榔路建于 1906 年，名称中的 “槟榔” 指槟榔屿，即槟城早期的名称。
