  • 新加坡咖啡店文化的一部分，为中国茶的代名词。
  • 在新加坡的咖啡店文化中，所谓的 “中国茶” 并没有特定的茶种，可包括普洱或铁观音等茶类。
  • 当顾客在咖啡店点一杯 “钓鱼” 时，他们将买到一杯中国茶，基本上就是一包浸泡在热水中的中国茶茶包。
  • 为了继续让茶渗透出茶包，与热水混匀，顾客需要亲自将茶包在杯中上下提放，由于这一动作很像在钓鱼，所以中国茶也俗称为 “钓鱼”。
ETYMOLOGY
  • “钓鱼”,which means “fishing”, is another name for Chinese tea. It is a part of Singapore’s coffee shop culture.
  • In Singapore’s coffee shop culture, “Chinese tea” is ambiguous. The specific type of tea served could be pu’er, tieguanyin or others.
  • When customers order Chinese tea at a coffee shop, they will be served a sachet of Chinese tea immersed in a cup of hot water.
  • In order to constantly extract the flavour of the tea from the teabag, the customer needs to dunk and lift the teabag out of the hot water several times. As this action is similar to the act of fishing, Chinese tea is colloquially known as “钓鱼”.

外地人来到狮城的咖啡店，如果听到有人向咖啡档点一杯 “钓鱼” 或 “踢球”，可能会感到一头雾水，但这就是本地咖啡店的独特文化。（《联合晚报》， 11/12/2011）
