位于新加坡中部，荷兰路（Holland Road）与女皇道（Queensway）一带的休闲去处。

由来
  • 由于临近东陵（Tanglin）地区，且只有登布西路（Dempsey Road）一条主要道路，因此登布西山在过去也被称为 “东陵村”（Tanglin Village）或直接称为 “登布西路”。
  • 登布西的名称源自于第二次世界大战的名将玛斯·克里斯多福·登布西爵士（Sir Miles Christopher Dempsey）。登布西曾担任英国第二军（British Second Army）的统帅，二战结束后则任英军东南亚联军陆军总司令（Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Land Force South East Asia）。
  • 1850 年代的登布西山原是一片称为 “哈里特山”（Mount Harriet）的豆蔻种植园。这片豆蔻园是英国海峡殖民政府库务司威廉·威兰斯（William Willans）和胡璇泽（也称胡亚基、黄埔先生等）共同持有。
  • 英国殖民地政府在 1860 年 5 月以 25,000 西班牙银元从两人的手中买下 “哈里特山”，在这一区建造了黑白洋房，并发展成东陵兵营（Tanglin Barracks），最终英军于 1836 年入驻于此。
  • 在 1971 年，随着英军的撤出，新加坡国防部（Ministry of Defence）和中央人力局（Central Manpower Base）入驻。
  • 在 1990 年代，随着国防部的离去，这区交由新加坡土地局（Singapore Land Authority）管理，并租借给私人营业者经营。
  • 2007 年这一区正式命名为登布西山。
