ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “地段” is a paraphrase of the English terms “lot”, “site” or “land parcel”.
  • Today, in the highly developed society of Singapore, districts have more of a commercial significance. For example, most of the trading, commercial, banking and financial hubs, and scenic spots and tourist attractions in Singapore are known as “prime districts”.
