由来
  • 英语 “mobile office” 的意译。
  • 1996 年，新加坡电信公司（Singtel）独资子公司流动联系（PageLink）正式推出流动办公室服务。
  • 除了接送信息和流动数据（mobile data）之外，流动办公室也备有接收或发送流动传真（mobile fax）和流动简讯（mobile message）等功能。
  • 若想使用以上功能，用户的手提电话必须连接上数码式流动网络（Global System for Mobile Communications，GSM）或个人通讯网络（Personal Communications Network，PCN）。
  • 这样一来，人们只要手边拥有手提电话或电脑等设备，便能随时随地办公，不需要连接固定的电话线插头，使流动办公的地点有更广泛的选择。
