  • 设立轻轨列车的主要目的是为新镇的居民服务,作为连接地铁站的交通工具。1999年首个无人驾驶的轻轨列车服务在武吉班让(Bukit Panjang)推出,2003年与2005年添加另外两条轻轨服务路线,分别在盛港(Sengkang)与榜鹅(Punggol)运行。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Light Rail Transit (LRT) was constructed to serve the transportation needs of commuters in new towns and connecting passengers to the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) stations. In 1999, the first unmanned LRT service was launched in Bukit Panjang. Two other LRT lines in Sengkang and Punggol were opened for passenger service in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
