  • 新加坡的法庭规定,若接获传召通知,当事人必须在规定的日期和时间出庭作证。在某些情况下,当事人也必须提供与案件有关的文件。
  • 若在正常的情况下(即无特殊理由)没有履行传召,当事人可被控藐视法庭,并且面临罚款或监禁。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Under Singapore law, a person who receives a subpoena must attend court at a specific date and time. In some cases, the person must produce documents related to the case.
  • Failure to respond to the subpoena under normal circumstances (without any special reason) may result in the person being charged with contempt of court, as well as being fined or jailed.
