A television or radio programme whose main content is conversation. Also known in Mandarin as “脱口秀”.

由来
  • 清谈节目即英语 “talk show”的意译。
  • 在一般的清谈节目上，主持人与坐在两旁的嘉宾会围绕某个主题在现场即席讨论。
  • 被邀请参加节目的嘉宾一般来自不同的背景，从事各行各业，能够代表不同年龄层的人士的观点。
  • 清谈节目可以让观众在一个特定的时间范围里，听到针对热门话题的不同观点和想法。
  • 节目内容除了涉及民生课题，有时也会谈到较敏感的话题，例如“出轨，女人也可以”、“女佣是救星还是灾星”等。
  • 由于考虑到讨论课题的“及时性”，清谈节目的制作通常需要一边拍摄与剪辑，一边播出，因此极具挑战。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “脱口秀” is a paraphrase of the English term “talk show”.
  • In a talk show, the host and the guests sitting by their sides will usually have an unscripted discussion about a certain topic.
  • Guests invited to a talk show usually come from different backgrounds and belong to different age groups, thereby representing the views of people from all walks of life.
  • A talk show allows viewers to hear different opinions and ideas on hot topics in a scheduled time frame.
  • Besides bread-and-butter issues, more sensitive topics are also sometimes discussed on talk shows. These include topics such as “women can have affairs too” and “is a domestic helper a saviour or a bane?”
  • In consideration of the “timeliness” of the topics discussed, the production of a talk show usually requires shooting and editing to proceed simultaneously with broadcasting, thus making things extremely challenging.
