  • 活跃乐龄(Active Aging)鼓励通过终身学习以确保身心健康、保持思维敏捷、积极参与社交活动、继续为家庭和社会尽一份力,让晚年生活过得快乐、精彩、有活力。
  • 终身学习包括提升自身的文化素养(如学习书法)、丰富生活知识与技能(如学习心理辅导技巧和学习新技术)、积极跟上时代的脚步(如学习如何上网)等。
  • 为了推广活跃乐龄的理念,活跃乐龄理事会 (Council for Third Age) 于2007年成立,为乐龄人士举办活动、讲座、工作坊等。另外,还有活跃乐龄中心 (Active Aging Hub) 为乐龄人士提供活动空间、举办活动与课程,以及乐龄护理服务。
  • 第一家活跃乐龄中心设在麦奈雅路 (McNair Road),于2017年开始运作。

ETYMOLOGY
  • Active Ageing encourages lifelong learning in seniors to ensure that they stay mentally and physically healthy, and maintain a sharp mind. Seniors are encouraged to actively participate in social activities, continue to contribute to the family and society, and live happy, interesting and energetic lives.
  • Lifelong learning includes improving one's own cultural literacy (such as learning calligraphy), enriching life knowledge and skills (such as learning psychological counseling skills and new technologies), and actively keeping up with the times (such as learning how to surf the Internet).
  • In order to promote the concept of active ageing, the Council for Third Age (C3A) was established in 2007 to organise various activities, seminars, and workshops for seniors. In addition, Active Ageing Hubs aim to provide activity spaces for seniors, hold events and courses for them, and deliver senior care services.
  • The first Active Ageing Hub was opened at McNair Road in 2017.
  • In 2020, at least 10 Active Ageing Hubs will be launched in HDB housing estates across the island.
