  • 英语 “disc jockey”（简称D.J.）的意译。
  • “D.J.” 一词最初在 1940 年代的美国开始使用，用来指那些在电台播放唱片音乐的节目主持人。这些主持人常会根据自己的音乐品味来播放歌曲，从而影响音乐的流行趋势。
  • 到了 1950 至 1960 年代，跟随唱片音乐跳舞越来越受大众的欢迎，同时也因为特制的 D.J. 设备的发展，唱片骑师也会在夜店、迪斯科舞厅等场所为在场的人们播放音乐。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “唱片骑师” is a paraphrase of the English term “disc jockey” (D.J. in short).
  • The term “D.J.” was first used in the United States in the 1940s to refer to programme hosts who played recorded music on radio broadcasts. These hosts often played songs according to their personal preferences, thereby influencing popular music trends.
  • From the 1950s to the 1960s, dancing to recorded music became increasingly popular. At the same time, there were also developments in specialised D.J. equipment. As such, disc jockeys also played music in nightclubs and discotheques for live audiences.
