  • 源自英语“food court”。
  • 1985年,第一家食阁Picnic Food Court在史格士购物中心(Scotts Shopping Centre)设立,为食客提供价格合宜的美食和舒适的环境,因此受到新加坡人的欢迎,之后食阁越来越普遍。
  • 食阁大多设在大型的购物中心或商业大厦内,主要采用自助服务。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Originated fron the english term food court.
  • In 1985, Singapore’s first food court, “Picnic Food Court” opened at Scotts Shopping Centre. It provided shoppers with affordable cooked food in a pleasant environment and was very popular. Subsequently, more food courts opened in other areas.
  • Most food courts are situated within larger shopping centres or commercial buildings and are mainly self-service.
