ETYMOLOGY
  • A Parliamentary Secretary in a Ministry may be appointed from among Members of Parliament by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister.
  • Parliamentary Secretaries are appointed to assist the Ministers of the respective ministries they are appointed to.
  • Other than the Parliamentary Secretary, there are also Senior Parliamentary Secretaries.
