YUMIN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Celik Cilik Club was formed after realising the talent and potential within a group of Malay language students. Their talent was discovered during their involvement in Malay language activities organised in school. Such talent must be nurtured and hence, the Celik Cilik Club was formed in 2013. Primary one to six students were selected to be trained in vocal and acting skills. These students have participated in various storytelling competitions, having had their share at winning some of these competitions. Apart from building their confidence and improving their use of the Malay language, students are also exposed to the Malay heritage, literature and history. In a way, our students have become Malay language ambassadors in Yumin Primary School.
