由来
  • 阿嫂杀手源自香港的“师奶杀手”，是90年代娱乐圈出现的新名词，后来流传到新加坡、马来西亚和台湾。
  • 广东话（广州话、粤语）中的师奶相当于新加坡的阿嫂，一般指四、五十岁的中年家庭主妇。
  • 一些演技派男演员是中年家庭主妇所喜爱的对象，他们受欢迎的程度之深，可用杀手来比喻。
  • 近年，除了艺人，受欢迎的男性政治人物、主持人、电台DJ等也被封为阿嫂杀手。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “阿嫂杀手” originated from the term “师奶杀手”, which was first coined in the Hong Kong entertainment industry in the 1990s. The term later made its way to Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan.
  • In Cantonese,  the term “师奶” is equivalent to the Singapore term “aunty”, and generally refers to middle-aged housewives in their 40s or 50s.
  • Some skilled male actors are so popular among middle-aged women that they can be described as “killers” (the literal meaning of “杀手”).
  • Apart from celebrities, popular male politicians, hosts, and radio DJs have also been called aunty charmers in recent years.
