ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “公共假日” is a paraphrase of the English term “public holiday”.
  • Singapore has 11 public holidays. As some public holidays do not have fixed dates, the Ministry of Manpower annually announces the actual dates for the gazetted public holidays for the upcoming year.
