The Tamil Language Council organised a mascot design competition, that will promote the use of Tamil in Singapore.

 

Mascot Design Competition

Submission period for the Tamil Language Festival mascot design competition was from December 2022 till 13 January 2023.

Digitally render or sketch by hand, the design of the Tamil Language Festival mascot that you think best represents and promotes the use of Tamil in Singapore.

Propose a name and include a short 50-word profile description for your mascot design submission.

Proposed mascot must not contain religious references, as it will focus on promoting the Tamil language, culture and heritage. Only original designs were accepted. 

 

Judging Criteria

Entries were evaluated based on panel judges’ scores and public voting.

-          Panel Judging (60%)

-          Public Voting (40%)

Entries were evaluated based on the following criteria:

-          The relevance to the Tamil Language Festival & Tamil Language in Singapore

-          Originality & innovation

-          Clear explanation of design 

Key Dates

Submission of design	14 December 2022 – 13 January 2023
Public Voting	23 January 2023 – 30 January 2023
Announcement of Winner	6 February 2023

Please note the submission deadline of 13 January 2023 is final and there will be no extension provided.
