The Tamil Language Council requested public to submit lyrics for the Tamil Vazhthu lyric competition, a song in praise of Tamil, that will promote the use of Tamil in Singapore.

- The competition was open for submission of entries from 1 April 2023, 9.00pm to 30 June 2023, 12.00pm (Singapore Time)
Judging Criteria
Entries were evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The relevance to Tamil Language in Singapore
- Originality & innovation
