A commercial complex in Singapore, where most of Singapore’s major book sellers are located. The Mandarin name literally translates as “Book City”.

由来
  • 书城商业大厦于1980年代设立,其别名为“百胜楼”(Bras Basah Complex)。
  • 书城坐落在新加坡市区培英街(Bain Street)。当时,许多原本在勿拉士峇沙路(Bras Basah Road)与桥北路(North Bridge Road)的书商,也成了书城的新租户。除了售卖各类书籍,书城也是举办书展和画展的场所。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Bras Basah Complex or “Book City” was established in the 1980s.
  • Bras Basah Complex is situated in central Singapore, along Bain Street. At that time, many book sellers on Bras Basah Road and North Bridge Road became tenants of the new Bras Basah Complex.
