  • 源自福建话 min jiang kueh
  • 有说法认为面煎粿源自福建,而后在新加坡、台湾、马来西亚、印尼等地流行起来。
  • 面煎粿的外皮由煎熟的面浆制成,而内馅则以花生碎为主。除了传统的花生碎内馅,现代的面煎粿还有许多不同的口味,包括椰丝、芝士、炼乳、香蕉等。
  • 制作面煎粿得先将面浆倒在一面圆形平面锅煎熟,再加入馅料,最后在出锅前将面皮折叠为半圆形裹住馅料。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “面煎粿” originated from the Hokkien term min jiang kueh.
  • It is believed that peanut pancakes originated from Fujian, China, and later became popular in places such as Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • The peanut pancake’s crust is made of pan-fried flour paste, and its filling is mainly grounded peanuts. In addition to the traditional peanut filling, modern peanut pancakes have also been enhanced to offer a variety of flavours, including shredded coconut, cheese, condensed milk, and bananas.
  • To make a peanut pancake, flour paste must first be poured into a round flat pan and pan-fried. The filling is next added, and the crust is folded into a semicircle to wrap the filling before is is taken out of the pan.
