  • 英语 “Pre-University education” 的意译。  
  • 参加新加坡剑桥普通教育证书 (普通水准) (Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Examination Ordinary Level，简称“O水准”) 会考的学生可以在取得成绩之后申请进入两年制的初级学院 (junior college) 或三年制的高级中学 (centralised institute)。
  • 大学先修班的课程主要侧重于三个领域:
    1. 生活技能 (Life skills)，如课程辅助活动 (Co-curricular Activities);
    2. 知识技能 (Knowledge skills)，如英文理解与写作 (General Paper);
    3. 学科 (Subject disciplines)，如语言 (Languages)、人文与艺术 (Humanities and the Arts) 及数学与科学 (Mathematics and Sciences)。
  • 在课程的最后一年，学生们必须参加新加坡剑桥普通教育证书 (高级水准)(Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level，简称“A水准”) 会考，以获得大学入学资格。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “大学先修班” is a paraphrase of the English term “Pre-University education”.
  • Students who sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) examinations can apply to enrol in a junior college or centralised institute after receiving their results.
  • Pre-University courses focus on three main areas:
    1. Life skills, such as Co-curricular Activities.
    2. Knowledge skills, such as General Paper.
    3. Subject disciplines, such as Languages, Humanities and the Arts, and Mathematics and Sciences.
  • In the final year of the programme, students sit for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examinations to gain admission to university.
