  • 暴露一词原指把隐蔽的、有缺陷的、有矛盾或问题的事物显露出来，词义较广泛。
  • 在新加坡，暴露多延伸用于指裸露身体某个部位，比如穿较短或薄的衣服。
  • 在新加坡，无论在公共场所或在外人可看见的私人场所里裸露都是犯法的，可被判处2,000元罚款或监禁长达三个月，或两者兼施。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “暴露” originally referred to exposing something that is hidden, defective, contradictory or problematic, and has a broad meaning.
  • In Singapore, the term commonly refers to revealing a certain part of the body, such as wearing short or thin clothes.
  • In Singapore, it is against the law to show nudity in public spaces or private places visible to outsiders. Those found in violation can be sentenced to a fine of $2,000 or imprisonment for up to three months, or both.
例句
不时都会读到卫道者批评女性衣着暴露的食古不化新闻，最近一则是7月20日的《“穿着不暴露可防被性侵”菲警告诫妇女言论引公愤》，在这个强调男女平等的时代，“引公愤”是必然的反应。（《联合早报》，5/8/2018）
SAMPLE SENTENCE
Articles by overly conservative people criticising women for wearing revealing clothes show up in the news from time to time. Most recently, there was an article dated 20 July on the topic of “The public outcry in response to the Philippines police’s advice for women not to wear revealing clothing”.
