  • 英语“motorcyclist”或“bicyclist”的意译。
  • 骑士原指骑马作战的士兵，在军事战斗中，他们被称为骑兵（cavalier），但在非军事战斗中，如参与政治活动或宗教活动时，他们被称为骑士（knight）。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “骑士” is a paraphrase of the English terms “motorcyclist” and “bicyclist”.
  • The Mandarin term “骑士” was originally used to refer to soldiers who did battle on horseback. Such soldiers were known in battle as cavaliers. Outside of the context of battle, such as during political or religious activities, these personnel were known as knights.
