由来

英语 “SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package” 的意译。
“新心相连” 就业与技能配套是时任副总理兼财政部长的王瑞杰于 2020 年 5 月 26 日宣布的坚毅向前预算案（Fortitude Budget）的其中一项。
这项配套总值 27 亿元，主要是为了给受疫情影响而失去岗位的就业者，应届毕业生，以及中途转业者提供就业、实习和培训的机会。
这一配套预计提供十万个就业和培训机会，当中主要包括：四万份工作、两万五千份实习机会，以及三万份技能培训名额。
为了更好地帮助就业者在疫情结束后寻得稳定的工作，人力部（Ministry of Manpower）、教育部（Ministry of Education）和公共服务属（Public Service Division）一同发布了四项计划，即 “新心相连” 就业计划（SGUnited Jobs）、“新心相连” 毕业生实习计划（SGUnited Traineeship）、“新心相连” 中途转业人士实习计划（SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways），以及 “新心相连” 技能提升计划（SGUnited Skills）。
截至 2020 年十二月份，这一配套已经成功为七万多人提供就业、实习和培训的机会。
2022 年，“新心相连” 就业与技能配套根据新加坡的就业情况做出调整，更好地帮助国人找工作，这些调整包括在三月份终止 “新心相连” 毕业生实习计划，而将 “新心相连” 中途转业人士实习计划改为永久性的计划。

ETYMOLOGY

The Mandarin term “‘新心相连’就业与技能配套” is a paraphrase of the English term “SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package”.
The SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package is part of the Fortitude Budget announced by then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Heng Swee Keat, on 26 May 2020.
The total value of this package is $2.7 billion. It aims to provide employment, internships, and training opportunities for employees displaced by the pandemic, fresh graduates, and mid-career switchers.
This package was expected to provide 100,000 employment and training opportunities, including 40,000 jobs, 25,000 internship positions and 30,000 vacancies for skills-training.
To better help jobseekers find stable jobs after the pandemic, the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Education, and the Public Service Division jointly announced four programmes, namely SGUnited Jobs, SGUnited Traineeship, SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways, and SGUnited Skills.
By December 2020, this package had successfully provided more than 70,000 people with opportunities for employment, internship, and training.
In 2022, adjustments were made to the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package to adapt to the job market in Singapore, to better help Singaporeans find employment. These included ending the SGUnited Traineeship Programme in March and making the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme a permanent one.
