  • 2013 年,新加坡市面上出现一种冷冻浓缩的豆花水,即把豆花水的主要加工过程,从黄豆的浸泡、研磨到过滤都预先做好再经过冷冻收藏。商贩若使用这些冷冻浓缩的豆花水,就能简单快捷地制作出豆花水。

ETYMOLOGY
  • The term 豆花水” is made up of the words “豆花” (soya beancurd) and “” (liquid) and hence refers to the liquid produced when making soya beancurd.
  • To make soya bean milk, the soya beans are generally soaked for six hours.
  • In Singapore, soya bean milk is a commonly sold beverage in coffee shops, restaurants, and hawker centres.
  • In 2013, a frozen soya bean milk concentrate was introduced to the Singapore market. The soya bean milk production process, from soaking to grinding, is completed in advance and the product is frozen for storage. Vendors can then quickly and conveniently prepare soya bean milk using the frozen concentrate.
  • Soya bean milk is highly nutritious as soya beans are rich in protein, fats, and many vitamins.
