  • 在新加坡,捐血相关事宜主要由卫生科学局(Health Sciences Authority)管理。该局也连同新加坡红十字会(Singapore Red Cross)积极提升人们对捐血的认知,以及召集捐血者。
  • 一名成人平均有四至五公升的血,而捐血量一次为 350 至 450 毫 升。
  • 在新加坡的鲜血库存量当中,54% 作为外科用途、31% 作为内科用途、9% 作为治疗血液疾病、6% 作为意外及紧急用途。
  • 公众须符合以下条件才可捐血:身体大致上健康,捐血前一周没有出现任何传染病的症状(如伤风、咳嗽、喉咙痛、腹泻等),捐血前四周没有发烧,至少三天没有服药、草本补品及中草药,至少一 周没有服抗生素(antibiotics),体重至少为 45 公斤,血红素(haemoglobin)至少为 13.0g/dl(男性)或 12.5g/dl(女性)。

ETYMOLOGY
  • In Singapore, matters related to blood donation are managed by the Health Science Authority. It also collaborates with the Singapore Red Cross to actively raise the public’s awareness of blood donation and recruit blood donors.
  • An adult’s body contains four to five litres of blood on average, and the quantity of blood donated each time ranges from 350 to 450 millilitres.
  • In Singapore’s blood bank, 54% goes to surgical use, 31% goes to general medicine use, 9% is used for treating blood diseases and 6% is  for accident and emergency use.
  • To donate blood, members of the public must meet the following criteria: Generally healthy; no symptoms of infectious diseases (such as cold, cough, sore throat or diarrhoea) in the one week before blood donation; no fever in the four weeks prior; have not taken antibiotics for at least one week prior; weighs at least 45kg; and has a haemoglobin count of at least 13.0g/dl (for men) or 12.5g/dl (for women).
  • As of 2019, only 1.87% of Singaporeans had donated blood. Among them, 23% were first-time blood donors, 37% were regular blood donors, and 24% were blood donors aged 25 and below.
