由来
  • 新加坡的“锁车区”条例 (Vehicle Clamping Act) 于1997年4月1日生效。
  • 其目的是防止非法停车的行为。锁车区内设有锁轮标志的告示牌,以示警告。
  • 若车子在公共场所被政府单位锁上轮子,车主必须缴付罚款和开锁手续。若车主在两个小时后未取回车子,则车子将被警方拖走。
ETYMOLOGY
  • Singapore’s Vehicle Clamping Act has been in effect since 1 April 1997.

  • The measure was implemented to prevent illegal parking. There are signs displayed in wheel-clamp zones, which serve to notify the public.

  • If a vehicle is wheel-clamped in a public place by Government authorities, its owner must pay an unlocking fee, in addition to a traffic fine. If the vehicle is not retrieved by the owner within two hours, it will be towed away.
