ETYMOLOGY
  • In Singapore, the title awarded to a  “视帝” at an  award ceremony is usually called “Best Actor”.
  • The Best Actor award was first created at Singapore’s second Star Awards held in 1995.
  • The winner of the award is decided by a panel comprising members from the film industry, acting profession and television industry, who vote based on the performance of the actors in television dramas.
  • Actors who have been crowned “视帝” at the Star Awards multiple times include Xie Shaoguang, Li Nanxing and Chen Hanwei.
