由来

英语“hijack”的意译。
“骑劫”一词除了指劫持，在新加坡语境中也逐渐延伸出其他含义：

指社交媒体账户被盗用，如“本地歌台艺人王雷的面簿账户遭骑劫”。
指网络数据被黑客盗取、截取或操纵，如“美国互联网公司Google数据被黑客骑劫”。
指操控或绑架，如“政治骑劫科学”。

ETYMOLOGY

The Mandarin term “骑劫” is a paraphrase of the English term “hijack”.
Apart from meaning “to unlawfully seize”, the term “骑劫” has also evolved to mean the following in the Singapore context:

theft of social media accounts. For example, “The Facebook account of local getai singer Wang Lei was hijacked.”
theft, interception or manipulation of online data. For example, “US Internet company Google’s data was hijacked by hackers.”
control or kidnapping. For example, “The hijacking of science by politics.”

SAMPLE SENTENCE

With the further expansion of airports and aviation construction, Singapore’s airspace is set to become busier than ever.
