  • 官式访问一般由新加坡外交部(Ministry of Foreign Affairs)安排及接待。
  • 官访的行程主要包括迎送贵宾、会见双方领袖或高级官员、宴宾等。
  • 在某些特定情况下,新加坡会以到访名人政要的姓名来为新品种的胡姬花取名,以示尊敬并象征两国的友谊常青。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “官访”  is a paraphrase of the English term “official visit”.
  • Official visits are usually arranged and hosted by Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
  • The itinerary of an official visit mainly includes welcoming and seeing off VIPs, meetings between leaders or senior officials from both sides, and hosting of banquets.
  • Under special circumstances, Singapore will name new varieties of orchids after visiting dignitaries or celebrities as a mark of respect, and to symbolise the everlasting friendship between the two countries.
