ETYMOLOGY

One-shoulder outfits started to become a trend in Singapore in 1996. By 1997, they had become even more popular, with many female celebrities sporting the look.
The one-shoulder concept can be seen in dresses of all styles, whether short or long, and from plain or printed styles to those featuring embroidery.
