  • 推出“新心相连”的目的是协助国人获得短期或长期工作机会,并帮助他们掌握与提升工作相关的技能和能力。
  • “新心相连”涵盖了就业计划 (SGUnited Jobs Initiative)、技能提升计划 (SGUnited Skills)、毕业生实习计划 (SGUnited Traineeships)、中途转业人士见习计划 (SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme) 等。
  • 2020年5月26日,“新心相连”就业与技能配套 (SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package) 由时任副总理王瑞杰在发表坚毅向前预算案 (Fortitude Budget) 时推出。

ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “新心相连” is a paraphrase of the English term “SGUnited”.
  • SGUnited assisted Singaporeans in seeking short-term or long-term employment, and in upgrading their skills and competencies.
  • SGUnited included SGUnited Jobs Initiative, SGUnited Skills, SGUnited Traineeships and SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme.
  • On 26 May 2020, the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package was launched by then Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat during the announcement of the Fortitude Budget.
  • By July 2020, the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package had assisted approximately 12,000 people in securing jobs.
  • SGUnited Traineeships was launched in December 2020. Over 2,700 companies participated in the programme, providing more than 12,000 graduates with internship opportunities. As the COVID-19 situation improved, the number of participants declined. The programme officially ended in March 2022.
  • It was announced in the 2022 Budget that the SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme would become a permanent programme on 1 April 2022.
