  • 新加坡政府认为团结（Unity）、韧性（Resilience）和同舟共济（Solidarity）是能够助国人渡过疫情期的三个重要价值观。疫情期间由政府颁布的预算案皆以这三个价值观为重点。
  • 同舟共济配套的主旨在于保障生计，扶助企业，以及援助国人。

ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “同舟共济预算案” is a paraphrase of the English term “Solidarity Budget”.
  • On 6 April 2020, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat announced this budget, which was valued at $5.1 billion.
  • The Singapore government believes that unity, resilience, and solidarity are three important values that will help Singaporeans tide over the pandemic. These three values were the primary focus for the budgets announced by the government during the pandemic.
  • The main aims of the Solidarity Budget were to protect livelihoods, support businesses, and assist Singaporeans.
  • For a start, the government distributed a one-off Solidarity Payment of $600 to Singaporeans aged 21 and above.
