释义

名词

将盛在器皿中的奶茶从高处往低处来回倒入另一个器皿中,使奶茶出现泡沫而且更香浓。

DEFINITION

Noun

A tea beverage made by pouring milk tea back and forth between two containers, with the arms stretched to maximise the pouring height, resulting in a frothier, thicker and more aromatic drink.

由来
  • 马来语 teh tarik 的意译。在马来语中,tarik 即是 “拉” 的意思。
  • 有说法认为拉茶源于马来西亚的印度回教移民,之后在马来亚地区流传开来。
  • 拉茶的做法是将煮好的奶茶来回数次倒入两个器皿中,由于在倒的过程中两个器皿逐渐分开,奶茶好比在空中被 “拉开”,因此得名。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “拉茶” is a paraphrase of the Malay term teh tarik. In Malay, tarik means “pull”.
  • It is believed that teh tarik originated among Indian Muslim immigrants in Malaysia, before spreading around the region.
  • Teh tarik is made by pouring brewed milk tea between two containers several times. The pouring distance is increased with each pour, giving the impression that the tea is being pulled apart in mid-air, hence its name.
