  • “机位”一词有许多含义，但在新加坡的使用语境中主要指民用飞机（也称“客机”）上供搭客乘坐的位子。
  • “机位”在其他地区有不同用法，例如在中国大陆，“近机位”是指有登机桥衔接、可直接步行抵达机场大楼的飞机停靠处，“远机位”则指距离机场大楼较远、下机后必须另外乘坐地面交通工具抵达机场大楼的飞机停靠处。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The term “机位” has several meanings, but in the Singapore context, it refers primarily to passenger seats on a civilian airplane (also known as a passenger airplane).
  • “机位” is used differently in other regions. For example, in Mainland China, “近机位” (literally, “nearby plane spot”) refers to a plane apron with direct access to the airport terminal via jet bridges, while “远机位” (literally, “distant plane spot”) refers to a plane apron that is further away from the terminal and requires disembarking passengers to transfer to ground transportation first.
