  • The Mandarin term “新加坡儿童博物馆” is a paraphrase of the English term “Children’s Museum Singapore”.
  • The Children’s Museum Singapore is managed by the National Heritage Board.
  • The Children’s Museum Singapore is located at the former site of the Singapore Philatelic Museum at Coleman Street. The building was originally built as part of Anglo-Chinese School in 1906, which became the Methodist Book Room from the 1970s to 1980s. On 19 August 1995, the Singapore Philatelic Museum opened here.
  • On 18 March 2019, the Singapore Philatelic Museum was closed for renovations. In 2020, it was announced that it would reopen as the Children’s Museum Singapore. The Children’s Museum Singapore will continue to use its stamps collection as educational materials whenever possible.
  • On 10 December 2022, the Children’s Museum Singapore was officially opened to the public. Within the museum are interactive exhibitions specially designed for children, such as animated videos, multimedia games and many experiential activities.
