  • The Mandarin term “文化遗产资助津贴计划” is a paraphrase of the English term “Heritage Grants Scheme”.
  • In August 2013, NHB officially launched the Heritage Grants Scheme. 
  • This grant scheme mainly targets individuals and non-profit interest groups and aims to enable them to develop projects related to traditional heritage. The purpose of such projects is to deepen Singaporeans’ understanding of the country’s national heritage.
  • Currently the Heritage Grants Scheme is divided into the Minor Project Grant and the Major Project Grant.
  • The Minor Project Grant supports projects of a smaller scale, such as exhibitions, publications, community activities, and workshops. It aims to encourage communities and individuals to create, document, and preserve local heritage. Successful applicants can receive a maximum grant of S$50,000.
  • The Major Project Grant provides financial support for projects larger in scale and complexity, which may make a significant contribution to Singapore’s heritage landscape. Applicants must also have a good record. Successful applicants can receive a maximum grant of S$150,000.
