由来
  • “割车” 一词源自闽南或潮州方言的 gua chia
  • 有说法认为方言词 “割车” 中的 “割” 或许是受到了马来语词语 potong 的影响。在马来语中,potong jalan 直译为 “割路”,即在路上从后方超越前方的意思。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The term “割车” originated from gua chia in the Hokkien or Teochew dialect.
  • It is believed that the term “” in the dialect term “割车” was influenced by the Malay term potong. The Malay phrase potong jalan literally translates to “割路” (cut the road), meaning to overtake a vehicle on the road from behind.
