  • 2007 年，淡米尔文理事会（Tamil Language Council）首次举办淡米尔语文节。
  • 淡米尔文理事会每年会与不同的学校及相关机构联合举办长达一个月的淡米尔语文节，来推广淡米尔语。
  • 淡米尔语文节的主题是 “爱淡米尔语，说淡米尔语”（Love Tamil, Speak Tamil )。
  • 2020 至 2021 年间，由于受到疫情的影响，淡米尔语文节连续两年移至线上举行。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The first Tamil Language Festival was organised by the Tamil Language Council in 2007.
  • Every year, the Tamil Language Council collaborates with different schools and organisations in organising the month-long Tamil Language Festival to promote the language. 
  • The theme of the Tamil Language Festival is Love Tamil, Speak Tamil. 
  • Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tamil Language Festival was shifted online for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021.
