由来
  • 2007 年，淡米尔文理事会（Tamil Language Council）首次举办淡米尔语文节。
  • 淡米尔文理事会每年会与不同的学校及相关机构联合举办长达一个月的淡米尔语文节，来推广淡米尔语。
  • 淡米尔语文节的主题是 “爱淡米尔语，说淡米尔语”（Love Tamil, Speak Tamil )。
  • 2020 至 2021 年间，由于受到疫情的影响，淡米尔语文节连续两年移至线上举行。
例句
通讯及新闻部长易华仁出席淡米尔语文节 2019， 接受媒体访问时强调，把文字准确无误地翻译成四种官方语文是对各个族群的基本尊重，政府将继续对翻译事宜给予重视，并投入资源完善。（《联合早报》，31/3/2019）
