  • 2007年，淡米尔文理事会(Tamil Language Council)首次举办淡米尔语文节(Tamil Language Festival)。
  • 淡米尔文理事会每年会与不同的社区合作方、政府机构与学校联合举办长达一个月的淡米尔语文节，在使用淡米尔语的群体中推广淡米尔语。
  • 淡米尔语文节的标语是“爱淡米尔语，说淡米尔语”(Love Tamil, Speak Tamil)。
  • 2020年至2021年间，由于受到冠病疫情的影响，淡米尔语文节改为在线上举行。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The first Tamil Language Festival was organised by the Tamil Language Council in 2007.
  • Every year, the Tamil Language Council collaborates with community partners, government organisations and schools to organise the month-long Tamil Language Festival to promote Tamil among the Tamil-speaking community.
  • The tagline of the festival is “Love Tamil, Speak Tamil”.
  • In 2020 and 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tamil Language Festival’s programmes were organised online.
