ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “中央托收公司” is a paraphrase of the English term “The Central Depository”.
  • CDP was set up in 1987 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
  • CDP mainly provides depository, clearing and settlement services for related products on the SGX markets.
  • Related products include shares, preferred stock, SGX-traded funds, funds, unit trusts, and Singapore Government bonds.
  • From 1 February 2021, users of the CDP who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents will be able to check their portfolios and fund information using SingPass.
