  • The term “来电” is usually used to refer to the feelings of attraction and mutual interest that occur when seeing someone, while “放电” describes the act of making eyes at someone. “电” (literally, “electricity”) is used to describe the sparks generated between two people.
  • “放电” is also abbreviated as “电” in Mandarin.
