  • “割车”一词源自福建话的 kuah chia
  • 有说法认为方言词“割车”中的“割”或许是受到了马来语词语 potong 的影响。在马来语中,potong jalan 直译为“割路”,即在路上从后方超越前方的意思。

ETYMOLOGY
  • The term “割车” originated from kuah chia in the Hokkien dialect.
  • The dialect term is believed to have been influenced by the Malay term for overtaking, potong jalan, which literally translates as “cut the road”. The character “割” means “to cut”.
