  • 早在 1936 年，《南洋商报》中一则有关现银贸易的新闻就已经使用“脱售”一词。

ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “脱售” is a serial verb construction and is generally used to refer to selling unwanted items on hand.
  • As early as 1936, the term “脱售” was used in a news article in Nanyang Siang Pau about cash trading.
  • The Chinese character “脱” has the meaning of “removal” in modern Chinese, while “售” means to sell away.
