  • 2016年,政府提出优先畅行廊道(Transit Priority Corridor)计划,在传统公路的基础上,打造结合公交出行、脚踏车出行及步行的交通道路。其中,全长21.5公里的“南北交通廊道”(North-South Corridor)将从2027年起陆续竣工。
  • 2020年9月26日,时任副总理兼财政部长王瑞杰宣布东海岸将开发长达15公里的中央绿色廊道(central green corridor),连接东海岸公园(East Coast Park)和樟宜海滨公园(Changi Beach Park),途中也将联通其他的社区道路,建设生机盎然的绿色城市。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “廊道” is a paraphrase of the English term “corridor”.
  • “廊道” are typically used to connect two buildings or found at the entrances of larger buildings.
  • In 2016, the Government proposed a plan to design new roads, or repurpose existing ones, to create Transit Priority Corridors (TPCs). These will create transport routes integrating public transport, cycling and walking paths. Among these is the 21.5-kilometre North-South Corridor, due to be completed in phases from 2027.
  • On 26 September 2020, then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat announced the development of a 15-kilometre central green corridor in East Coast, which would connect East Coast Park to Changi Beach Park and link up other community corridors along the way, establishing a vibrant green network.
