新加坡入口木炭是在梧槽河(Rochor River)上下货的。1927年,星洲炭商公局(原称“柴炭商行公局”)在梧槽尾设第一个会所,后来才在芽笼34巷建新会所。
Charcoal imported into Singapore was unloaded at Rochor River. In 1927, the Singapore Charcoal Dealers Association set up its first clubhouse at Crawford Street, and later built a new clubhouse at Geylang Lorong 34.
