One of Singapore’s tourist attractions built by Aw Boon Haw, the founder of Tiger Balm.
Haw Par Villa is also known as the “Tiger Balm Gardens” due to its connection with the founder of Tiger Balm, Aw Boon Haw. Haw Par Mansion in Hong Kong was also built by Aw Boon Haw. Unlike Haw Par Villa in Singapore, Haw Par Mansion in Hong Kong was the private mansion of the Aw family, and was not open to the public, except for the Tiger Balm Garden located beside the mansion. However, this garden was demolished thereafter, and was handed over to the local government in 2001.
