ETYMOLOGY
  • In the late 1990s, CityCab first introduced the seven-seater
    MaxiCab    .
  • The fare for MaxiCabs may be metered, like that of ordinary taxis. The total fare comprises of a starting fare (for the first kilometre) and a basic fare (calculated based on subsequent distance travelled).
  • The fare for a MaxiCab is higher than that of ordinary taxis.
  • Apart from metered fares, a MaxiCab may also charge passengers a specified flat fare.
  • According to ComfortDelGro’s 2024 taxi fare table, the one-way fare for booking a MaxiCab to Changi Airport or Seletar Airport is $65, and the one-way fare for travelling from Changi Airport or Seletar Airport to the city is $70. Both fares include the taxi driver’s pick-up service.
  • In addition to airport transfer services, MaxiCabs also provides chartered services.
  • Passengers can choose to pay with credit card or cash.
