由来
  • 英语 “recycle” 的意译。
  • 新加坡采用的环保口号为“3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”，即“减少使用、物尽其用、循环再用”。其中，“循环再用”指的就是“再循环”。
  • 循环再用的一种方式，是在家设置环保收集箱，收集废弃物品。在将这些物品进行清空、清洗及压缩之后，投入住家附近的蓝色回收箱。可再循环的物品包括塑料、金属、纸制和玻璃类物品。
  • 新加坡政府持续通过教育、宣导及政策的推出，提高人们再循环的意识。
  • 自2014年起，建屋发展局 (Housing & Development Board) 建造的组屋和非有地私宅都设有两个废料槽，一个用于垃圾，另一个用于可循环的旧物。
  • 自2019年起，政府宣布将实施措施来管理电子废料、包装垃圾及食物垃圾。
ETYMOLOGY
  • The Mandarin term “再循环” is a paraphrase of the English term “recycle”.
  • The environmental protection slogan adopted by Singapore is the “3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”.
  • At home, recycling can be practised by setting up a box to collect recyclable household items. The items are emptied, cleaned and compressed, before being taken to the blue public recycling bins set up near homes. Recyclable items include plastic, metal, paper and glass items.
  • The Singapore Government raises awareness on recycling through education, publicity and policies.
  • Since 2014, both Housing & Development Board flats and non-landed private residences are built with two rubbish chutes, one for trash and the other for recycling.
  • In 2019, the Government announced that it would implement measures for managing electronic waste, packaging waste and food waste.
