A cultural centre located in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, dedicated to preserving the Chinese culture, and passing down a cultural legacy unique to Singapore.

由来

新加坡华族文化中心的构思由新加坡宗乡会馆联合总会时任会长蔡天宝于2012年提出，并获得时任总理李显龙的支持。
2017年, 新加坡华族文化中心举行了开幕仪式。
2020年，时任总理李显龙为中心常设展《新加坡华人·探索本土华族文化》主持开幕，该展览以创新互动形式诠释新加坡华人文化。此展每日开放，公众可免费参观。
2024年，中心推出了聚焦本土华族文化议题的《新加坡华族文化百科》，为公众提供一站式、全面的本土文化线上知识库。
通过与文化艺术团体及社区伙伴的紧密合作，中心以贴近生活的有趣内容，让大众深入了解自身文化的多样性，并培养对国家的归属感。中心举办的活动形式多样，包括展览、表演、市集、讲座、工作坊、研讨会等。

ETYMOLOGY

The idea of setting up the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) was proposed by Mr Chua Thian Poh, then Chairman of the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), and supported by then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
SCCC was officially opened in 2017.
In 2020, the opening of SCCC’s exhibition “SINGAPO人: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture” was officiated by then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. This exhibition offers an innovative and interactive interpretation of Singapore Chinese culture. It is open daily with free admission to the public.
In 2024, SCCC launched Culturepaedia, a comprehensive one-stop online repository on Singapore Chinese culture.
Through strategic partnerships with local arts and cultural groups, and engaging and accessible content, SCCC hopes to nurture a greater appreciation of Chinese Singaporeans’ multi-cultural identity and instil a stronger sense of belonging to Singapore. SCCC promotes Singapore Chinese culture through exhibitions, performances, fairs, talks, workshops, seminars, and other arts, cultural and heritage activities.
